I completed training with over 2,000 hours from Hypnosis Motivation Institute to now add three more letters behind my name. A "C", "H" and a "T". This implies that I am now a Certified Hypnotherapist. Woot Woot!!!! That may seem to some as bragging...but I am mostly sharing my celebration of managing my time and energy in a way that allowed me to homeschool my children, assist my mother in her passing, continue to grow my holistic practice and maintain optimal health for myself and teach clients the last three years while in school with grace and ease.
Balance is key for those wearing as many hats as I did and continue to presently do.
I often get asked how does my family stay well when I am a single mother, widowed in 2012. I feel that if I am not learning something new that will build my tool box, my clients will eventually seek guidance and information elsewhere and I will no longer be in a position to learn from others as they learn from me and provide for my children. Whether that is the truth or not, it is a limiting belief I have as a result of a program that my grandparents instilled in me as a young girl starting school when I was hypersuggestible. My grandfather encouraged me to always be learning and investing in myself and that when you do, you'll be the richest person in the world. Infinite love and gratitude for that nugget of wisdom for it has sparked a curiosity inside me that keeps me exploring so many possible ways to balance our minds, bodies and spirits. And I take what I learn and continually pay it forward when I see a client scan for things such as hypnotherapy as a balancer or energy healing or LifeLine Technique as a balancing healing modality. (For those who have yet to have a Holistic ReDesign session with me...what are you waiting for? Book your in office or virtual session today!)
In my holistic practice, we cover the basic concept of "two opposing truths can exist in harmony" and I draw on my dry erase board in every session this illustration as yin energy and yang energy. If one has no symptoms at all, I can imagine that there would be no need to walk into an emergency room seeking advice or care. And if you did happen to walk into an emergency room without reason, there may be someone there to recruit you into finding some label or diagnosis. As a traditional naturopath, I believe that body can heal itself given the proper basic needs and by dealing with the emotional issues in the tissues. There is no need or desire for me to diagnose or treat a medical condition in any way. There is, however, a passion and need for me to educate you on how far away from BALANCE and CENTER you have deviated and how there are soooooooo many possiblities on moving you back to center. The farther away from BALANCE you are, the more likely you will receive a label or diagnosis from a medical professional. Take the bowels for example...the farther away from CENTER [center = regular BM's (a poop or two a day)] you feel in your body...a label of "constipation" resulting in deviating into a yin direction and a label of "diarrhea" deviating into a yang direction will undoubtedly be given. In my office, we would focus on how many yin blancers were needed to move your mind, body, spirit out of yang/ diarrhea. And the opposite would happen if you needed yang balancers to move you out of constipation.
As I am teaching in my intimate office space, I often want to reach out and thank the client for equally teaching me. It happened in my session this morning. She was working on raising her consciousness out of guilt, blame and shame that resulted in feeling brain fog and loss of appetite. Her balancing options were the same for myself even though I don't have the same present symptoms of brain fog. My symptom of loss of appetite this morning was directly connected to feeling guilty about needing to ask a family member to watch my toddler because my typical Tuesday arrangement changed. As my client worked through her Holistic ReDesign session, I see that we are all in this student/ teacher thing together. Acting as students listening to the clues our bodies give us and as teachers and educators reprogramming our bodies with redirected intentional yin or yang balancers. "Earth is a school, and our daily lives are classrooms in which we learn life lessons." quoted by Dr. Darren Weissman. Our bodies symptoms are constant teachers waiting for us to recieve the message that something must change. And in what direction you go to do that, is pretty easy to know once I share with you my simple yet complex methods of Holistic ReDesign. Upcoming videos will be posted on our website and/or blog to further explain what I really do in our sessions.
I am cautious in folowing practitioners who claim there are only their ways of balancing my symptoms. As much as we all want the magic pill or a quick fix, life doesn't balance out that way. And as a student currently clocking in hours of training to receive my Certified LifeLine Practitioner in November of 2017 in Chicago, IL from Dr. Darren Weissman, I am patient feeling hopeful and guided that my gifts in teaching you and your loved ones will be received and heard in a way that causes cellular shifts to balance your mind, bodies and spirit. Our future relationship together is a quantum classroom where I may be your Quantum Naturopath and at times you'll be mine. We are spiritual beings able to connect to one another quantumly. You no longer have to rent a ZYTO hand cradle in order to have a virtual appointment. I am moving forward in 2017 with confidence that I can MRT (muscle response test) for you with your permission. I have been doing it for my children now ages 10, 8 and 2 years and I must be muscle testing something right because all three of my kiddos have yet to need allopathic care. That's right...never a tylenol or benedryl or walk-in-clinic or pediatric intervention or antibiotics. (Note to self: write future blogs to share more on how I am a student to my children.) Tip #1: Don't listen to your programming of what good parenting is. Listen to your child. They are teaching us how to empower them and create environments for them to be balanced and thrive.
And as I close this writing flow with my toddler waking from his nap, I ask if any of you reading would like to be one of my virtual LifeLine practice sessions in the upcoming weeks? I need to turn in 28 practice sessions in order to complete my certification. You picking up what I'm putting down? LOL Check out LifeLine and reply/comment if you would like a complimentary healing session with me and what your ideal day and time would be in the month of March. It can be in-office or virtual through Zoom for those of you living outside of Lafayette, LA.
